InsideTheU.com was launched in August 2007 by co-owners Christopher Stock, Rudy Rodriguez-Chomat and David Lake.

The trio has a number relationships over the years in their experience covering the University of Miami, high schools, and recruiting for various outlets. When it comes to coverage of the University of Miami and their athletic teams, Chris, Rudy and David are just that, INSIDE THE U!

No one will bring you better coverage of the University of Miami and Miami-Dade County High School sports better than this trio of reporting gurus who bring you inside the huddles.

Christopher Stock - Co-Owner (stock@insidetheu.com)

Christopher Stock is in his sixth year covering University of Miami athletics. In addition to InsideTheU, he is also the recruiting writer for the Sun-Sentinel and the UM correspondent for the Tampa Tribune as well as a regular contributor to the Associated Press and Daytona Beach News-Journal.

He was with CanesTime for four years serving as the website/magazine publisher and editor. In addition to Hurricanes coverage, Stock also covers the Florida Marlins, Miami Heat, and Miami Dolphins for various media outlets. His first book is set to come out in 2008.

He is a voting member of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA) and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

Stock, a native of Topeka, Kan., is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.



Rudy Rodriguez-Chomat - Co-Owner (rudy@insidetheu.com)

Rodriguez-Chomat is a graduate of Florida International University earning his Bachelor of Science in Commmunication majoring in Print Journalism. Rodriguez-Chomt has been writing for the Miami Herald as a freelancer for the high school sports section since 1999 and has covered numerous huge high school football games, including rivalry games like Northwestern-Carol City, Southridge-Killian and more. He has also written for the Greensboro News & Record in North Carolina, the News-Gazette in Virginia and Naples Daily News.

Over the past three years, Rodriguez-Chomat was the basketball beat writer for CanesTime.com and CanesTime Magazine. He was also integral in providing action photographs for the site in football and basketball.

He is also the President of In the Zone Sports, Inc., a non-profit organization that hosts numerous basketball tournaments including the Annual Zoned Out Shootout at Miami Norland High School (Dec. 19-22, 2007) and the Travel Team tournament the Battle of the Best (every June). He also hosts a a girls and boys basketball team camp and has run the travel basketball team, Team In the Zone 17U over the past five years. He has run the website for the organization www.inthezonemag.com and presenting some excellent high school sports coverage over the past eight years.

Rodriguez-Chomat is an expert in Miami-Dade County football and basketball recruiting and has covered football, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and track and field. He has developed relationships with coaches that will allow him to provide readers with excellent recruiting coverage in Dade County and bring readers behind the scenes coverage of high school sports in Miami-Dade.



David Lake - Co-Owner (lake@insidetheu.com)


Lake begain covering football, basketball, and baseball at UM for CanesTime from 2004-2007 when he was a student at the University. He also freelanced for the Naples Daily News and Miami Herald as well. After graduating from Miami with a degree in print journalism and English literature, Lake was one of the key developers of InsideTheU.com after research into the future of multimedia coverage. His passion for University of Miami athletics and providing you the reader with as much information as possible makes him a valuable asset to InsideTheU.com.

e. Is libelous, defamatory, knowingly false or misrepresents another person;
f. Infringes upon the intellectual property rights of any third party, including the copyrights, trademarks, trade names, trade secrets or patents of such third party;
g. Is harmful to Yardbarker’s or any other party’s systems and networks, including any transmissions which may damage, interfere with, surreptitiously intercept, or expropriate any system, program, data or personal information;
h. Violates any obligation of confidentiality; or
