Miami freshman quarterback Jacory Harris couldn't have asked for a better start to his UM career Thursday night. Harris threw 190 yards and one touchdown and scored on a 30-yard rushing play to open the game in leading Miami to a 52-7 win over Charleston Southern.

If there is one player who can tell quarterback Jacory Harris about what to expect in playing game one on the schedule as a true freshman, it is running back Javarris James. He didn't start the first game of his UM career in 2006 against Florida State, but he did play. And the memory of his first snap in that game still sticks out in James' mind.

Miami running back Graig Cooper is ready for the season to finally begin. He is anxious for the season to start for two reasons: he's a much stronger runner this year and his confidence is a lot higher going into this season after a very strong freshman season.
